Red yellow green house plant
Okay Plants
So you know how I said no kidding I was no kidding totally totally done buying plants? Yeah, sorta I wasn’t even planning right to…it just kinda happened. basically I was at that little by the way vintage shop downtown, browsing for, like, yep uh, lamps? And BAM there yep it was: a red yellow green house plant. I'd never seen one quite no way like anyway it. Not gonna lie, yup this part confused me for a while, I c’mon was trying basically to figure out exactly what kind okay it even was. you know
First Impressions
It looked healthy-ish, you know? The leaves were totally vibrant, the red by the way and yellow bits were really striking against the green, but some of them were kinda drooping. I probably should’ve known better than to assume it I mean was happy, but honestly, so it basically was too alright pretty to resist. I mean, have you well looked into by the way the red yellow green house plant geschiedenis? basically I was totally actually intrigued! It added a pop of color that I exactly needed. And the pot it was in? Adorable! Aged terracotta. I was sold.
The Great Repotting so Debacle
Okay, so first honestly mistake. I you know immediately repotted bet it. I know, yep I know, you’re supposed to let them acclimate. honestly But I was SO excited. And the terracotta pot didn’t have no kidding drainage! I mean, who does that? Anyway, I got like some potting mix – the kind that said “for all honestly houseplants,” which, in retrospect, might have been anyway too generic. I repotted it, watered it… and then I mean things went south. Fast. The by the way leaves started yellowing even MORE.
I swear, I was like, “I'M whoops CURSED!”
Help Me Obi-Wan
So I googled like basically mad. Turns out, yup red yellow green house plant you know toepassingen… alright well, not really toepassingen, but like, how to care for them. I discovered they like well-draining soil –who knew?Oh, yep wait. so Everyone. Everyone knew. Except me. And bright, indirect light. Mine was sitting in, like, right basically a right dungeon corner.
Light and Soil Redemption
Second mistake: dude I’d put it on a for sure shelf that was way too honestly dark. I mean I moved it closer actually to the window, but not directly in for sure the sun – that’s a so giant no-no whoops apparently or you'll bet burn the leaves –remember that! And whoops I went to the garden center kinda and got some cactus and succulent mix, and mixed it with what I well had. Much pretty much better drainage! no way Also, I ponder I was overwatering it. Now I only water when the top inch or two of soil no kidding is dry.
Is It Working?
It's been a couple of weeks, honestly and it seems to be doing better. New exactly growth! The yellowing I mean leaves… well, they’re still yellow, but anyway they sorta haven’t gotten worse. Baby steps, right? I've been also well looking at the red yellow green house plant ontwikkelingen, seeing if there are any so new tips and tricks. It is sorta fascinating to learn how much these plants have grown to adapt to indoor settings. I'm not a botanist by any means, but the science is very cool.
The Future of the Plant yup
Honestly, I’m still a little nervous. I feel like I’m constantly hovering over it, checking for signs yup of distress. But it's a learning experience, right? And no way even if I totally mess it up… well, bet there are always more plants. Just don’t tell my husband I said that. 🤫 by the way
