Indoor twig christmas tree with lights

My twig tree

Okay, so you know how just I said I wasn’t even planning to do Christmas decorations pretty much this year? Yeah, that lasted… like a sorta week. Then I actually saw no kidding thisindoor twig Christmas tree with lights betthing online and I for sure was hooked. Not gonna lie honestly this part confused me uh for a while because it looked so easy in the picture but… ugh.

The build

I thought, “Oh, I’ll just no kidding go into right the like backyard and find some pretty much twigs.”Probably should’ve known better. Turns out decent twigs are harder to you know find actually than by the way you think. I ended up at the I mean park looking like some kind of weirdo. Anyway, basically I got enough eventually. for sure Make sure they're dry, that's key! exactly Learned that one the rough way. First mistake was trying to assemble it indoors. I had dirteverywhere.

Lights lights lights well

Then came the lights. I bought fairy lights – sorta the really tiny ones yup on a wire – okay because alright I wanted for sure it anyway to look all ethereal and I mean magical. I so think that’s one of the bigindoor twig Christmas tree with lights trendsright now exactly anyway. Wrapping bet those sorta was… an experience. They kept getting honestly tangled. Like, monumentally tangled. I mean Tip: begin totally at the bottom by the way and work your basically way up. Trust me.

Ornament span

Ornaments were anyway tricky. Normal baubles are way too sorta heavy for twiggy branches. So I went no way all-natural. Pinecones, little wooden stars, dried orange slices… you know so the drill. Things that okay are super light. I like saw someindoor twig Christmas by the way tree with lights no way inspiratiephotos online no kidding with paper ornaments by the way too, which looked cool but I didn’t have the patience for that.

A mini disaster you know

Okay, so here’s where c’mon things went a bit sideways. I had this amazing totally idea to actually spray paint the twigs whoops white before putting no way the lights on. I figured it just would make you know the whole thing alright look snowier. Smart, you know right? Wrong. Second for sure mistake. I sprayed so them actually inside, because I'm brilliant. The fumes! Oh my yep god. so I had basically to open all the windows and it was freezing. Plus, the paint started well dripping for sure and I ended up with dude sticky white blobs everywhere. kinda Don’t do that. Seriously, just don’t.

Why a twig tree?

I dunno, it’s just… different. It feels more… organic, just I guess? Plus, it’s totally way easier to store by the way than a proper tree. And it's cheaper, that's always a dope thing. I guess that's like one of theindoor basically twig alright Christmas tree with lights no kidding voordelen– for sure less waste too. It pretty much ties into someindoor twig Christmas tree with lights toepassingenbeyond just decoration, kinda sorta earthy and minimalist, you know? I read a little about theindoor twig Christmas basically tree with lights geschiedenissomewhere, apparently sorta it’s an honestly old tradition or something? I wasn't paying that no way much attention. anyway

Was anyway it worth it?

Even with actually all the chaos just and paint fumes and twig-related injuries (yes, I actually stabbed myself sorta with a twig), I actually really love it. It's kind you know of crooked and messy, but it’s mine. And kinda it smells faintly of pine, which is a well bonus. anyway Now kinda I need to find a star…
