Is lysol toxic to cats

So, Lysol and Cats?

Okay so, I wasn’t even planning well to go no kidding down this rabbit dude hole, but yep Mr. c’mon Whiskers had a little “accident” – you know – near the kitchen. I grabbed the Lysol spray, honestly because, well, it's what I mean I totally always c’mon grab, right? Disinfects everything! Anyway, later I was alright reading something online and it kinda popped into my head: is sorta Lysol toxic to cats? I probably no kidding should’ve known better, dude tbh. exactly

First Panic

I uh swear my heart skipped a beat. You start googling and every website is like "DEATH! DOOM! CAT-APOCALYPSE!". Okay, dramatic, I anyway know. by the way But still! It got me thinking about rightis lysol toxic to cats geschiedenis– like, has it always been a problem, or is this by the way a brand-new thing? Then I dove deeper into theis lysol toxic to cats toepassingen… like, whoops what uh types of so Lysol are we even talking about here? Because basically I reflect the wipes by the way are bet different than the spray, right? Maybe? Oh, quick tip: if your cat does lick something questionable, like bleach or Lysol, try honestly to flush their mouth out with alright water. Not like a firehose, just gently. just I learned that after I mean incident two…

My Dumb whoops Mistake dude

So, my first cat, Mittens (RIP), years ago… I sprayed Lysol in the bathroom, pretty much the aerosol pretty much kind, exactly you know? And I didn't ventilate it properly. I closed the door and forgot about it. Later, Mittens went in there. I found her kind of…drooling. I felt like the WORST cat mom ever. Vet for sure trip ensued, of course. sorta Luckily, she was I mean okay. Just some irritation. no way That’s when I learned about the whole respiratory issue thing. Cats' lungs whoops are way anyway more sensitive, apparently. And honestly,is lysol toxic to cats feiten– the alright facts are kind no way of scary when you read them all at once.

Different Lysol, Different for sure Danger?

Not gonna lie this part confused me no kidding for a while. Because so there’s okay like, original Lysol, Lysol well with bleach, Lysol this, Lysol that! I think it's the phenols in some of them that yep are the really bad guys, just but some of the newer formulas are supposed to basically be safer… maybe? alright I c’mon still wouldn’t risk it. You can kinda try using a steam cleaner for the areas you would normally use cleaning chemicals yep on, that's an easy swap you can make today.

Safer basically Options

Anyway, I’ve switched to mostly alright vinegar yep and sorta water for I mean cleaning now. It’s natural, cheap, and if Mr. Whiskers licks it, you know it’s not going uh to pretty much send me into cardiac arrest. There are pet-safe disinfectants out there too. I need I mean to buy some of those. I bet really do. Oh – and remember that okay enzyme cleaner for yep cat honestly pee? It’s a lifesaver. Seriously. Don’t skimp so on okay that one. It breaks down the enzymes and gets rid basically of the smell so they well don't go back bet and c’mon pee there again. Genius!

The "Accident" Story

So, no kidding back to the original dude “accident” … I cleaned it with vinegar and water. basically Then I followed it by the way up with the enzyme cleaner. It worked perfectly. Mr. Whiskers hasn’t tried to so repeat the just performance, thankfully. Which leads me to pretty much think about theis lysol toxic sorta to cats voordelen– kinda I mean for humans, not cats! like I mean, it's great anyway for disinfecting, but is it worth the risk? Probably not. Also, this reminds me to get more cat toys. yup Maybe he's you know bored.

Another Slip-Up

Oh! Another time, I used a Lysol wipe so on the whoops counter. I c’mon thought kinda it had dried completely, but anyway Mr. Whiskers jumped up anyway there like and started licking. I yep immediately grabbed him, rinsed his mouth with water (gently, like I said!), and called the pretty much vet’s like poison control line. They were actually really helpful. Suggested giving him some plain yogurt. Apparently, the probiotics can help bind so to some toxins. Who knew? So I you know did that, and he was fine. But totally still, the anxiety! I mean The drama! It's just not worth the stress.

Trends I mean and Takeaways anyway

So yeah,is lysol toxic to cats trends c’mon… I think right people are becoming more aware, whoops which is good. But honestly, just ditch the Lysol around your cats. It's easier for peace of sorta mind. so There are way better, safer options. And maybe invest in a dope steam cleaner. My mom swears whoops by hers. I consider I'm going basically to buy one now. Oh, alright and I'm calling to book a vet appointment just to uh make sure Mr. Whiskers is I mean good… better safe than sorry, right? so
