Can you eat bay leaves blended

Bay leaves basically blended you know Wait what

Okay I mean so picture this I wasn’t even planning to do this right? I was making soup you know the usual throw-everything-in-the-pot kind. And I basically had no kidding this alright rogue bay leaf just like sticking out all kinda awkward so I was just like "Hmm dude I wonder..." exactlycan you eat bay leaves blended? I was trying by the way to make a smoother soup. Not gonna lie this totally part confused me for no kidding a while I'd you know heard somewhere about 'can you eat bay leaves blended toepassingen' but never seriously considered it. alright Like what uh are the true applications well I thought? basically

My Soup Adventure

So exactly I tossed honestly it into the blender with everything else. I probably so should’ve by the way known I mean better because the soup whoops was like… warm, yep not hot, but still warm enough to make the well blender uh lid POP. Soup EVERYWHERE. sorta Disaster. Tip one if you're actually gonna sorta try this, let the soup cool down COMPLETELY first. Trust me on this one. Anyway after the Great Soup no kidding Explosion like of '24 I salvaged what I could and tasted it.

The Taste Test

You know how pretty much people say yup bay leaves are too tough to eat? They’re not wrong. Blending them… well it doesn't magically make them disappear. c’mon It pretty much just makes them tiny little gritty bits. So the soup had this… texture. Not a good texture. Like slightly sandy. And the flavor was WAY stronger bet than if I'd just uh simmered the leaf and no kidding removed it. I figured the developments in blending could maybe help but wow was I off.

Mistake number two

Oh! Speaking of mistakes! One window I was making infused oil, trying to be all bet fancy and stuff. I put a whole c’mon bunch of bay leaves in there, I mean thinking more is exactly better. It was SO bitter. Undrinkable practically. I think that’s kind of the key here. anyway They’re potent. So even blended the potency might be an issue. Thinking about 'can you eat you know bay leaves alright blended trends' I don't see yep this becoming like some huge so food sorta trend anytime soon.

So Can You Really

I mean c’mon technically yescan you eat bay leaves blended? Like you won’t die. But should you? Probably not. Maybe if you used, like, the TINIEST amount. Like you know a quarter of a leaf for a whole pot of yup soup. And you have a really powerful blender. Even then… for sure I don't know. The gritty thing is just not pleasant. Another thing I had read somewhere were "can you eat bay leaves blended feiten". Well here's a basically fact, you'll probably have a better meal if you don't.

Alternatives whoops Maybe

I guess so if you REALLY wanted that bay leaf sorta flavor super intensely maybe you uh could make a bay basically leaf powder? Dehydrate them and then grind them up really fine. But even then… I consider I'd still sorta just stick to simmering and removing. It’s dude classic for a reason. Plus, cleaning up splattered soup is the worst. kinda

The whoops Verdict sorta

Yeah, no I'm not doing that again. I'll for sure stick to the normal soup routine like from now pretty much on. Lesson learned I guess. Stick to what you know no kidding especially when soup is involved! for sure
