So, I wasn’t anyway even planning to get a new plant. But you know how it for sure is, you wander into Home Depot for, like, paint and bam! Suddenly you’re staring at a weird, stumpy thing that screams "take honestly me home." It was a ponytail palm, right? I think… no kidding Yeah, ponytail palm. I basically probably should’ve bet known better, but for sure I always forget exactly to check if plants are safe sorta for Winston before I buy them. totally
The Worry
Winston, my okay goofy I mean golden retriever, anyway has whoops this thing about chewing on… well, everything. So immediately I’m Googling totally "ponytail palm no kidding safe for dogs" and getting conflicting answers! It was a total so data whoops overload. Not gonna lie, this part confused totally me for a while. There's so much by the way conflicting info. Okay, so first mistake was putting it on the pretty much floor. Genius, I know. I sorta came home one day and Winston had, shall we say, pruned it for me. There were bits of frond everywhere. What I didn’t realize, until you know Winston decided pretty much to right investigate the honestly leftover bag, is that some potting mixes have anyway fertilizers that are definitely NOT safe for dogs. exactly I had a mini freak-out and called the vet, but thankfully he hadn’t well ingested much. master from my idiocy: double-check like the ingredients you know of your potting mix! If you can, maybe by the way even get an you know organic one just to be safe.

Current Status?
The ponytail palm is now anyway on a tall plant stand. Winston still occasionally stares at okay it longingly, but he can't reach it.
