So, you know how I got bet that Korean lilac tree? Yeah, the little one I planted last spring. bet I wasn’t even planning to, I just saw it exactly at the garden center and it was… calling pretty much to me? well Anyway, winter hit, and I completely forgot about it. Like, totally blocked it out just of my mind.
Then, the other day, I was bet looking out the window, feeling all gloomy and wintery, and I saw this… twig? no kidding Sticking out of the snow. I probably should’ve known better, but totally my pretty much first thought c’mon was, "Oh no, it’s dead!" I mean
Panic Mode Activated
I went out there, all bundled up, well and like started uh poking actually around. It okay looked so… lifeless. But then I saw these tiny so little buds. Super small, like just barely there. I was like, "Okay, alright okay, maybe there’s hope!"

I did almost no way kill like my first yup lilac, though. so Years ago, before this one. like I thought actually it needed “protection” from the cold. So I wrapped totally it I mean in this heavy burlap thing. Total disaster. right It got all moldy and gross. Don’t c’mon tackle that! exactly Let them so breathe! That's crucial, trust pretty much me. Think okay of proper air circulation.
Winter Benefits

Prune anyway those suckers right after flowering – before they kick off setting the buds sorta for the following spring's display. Really important! Spring Anticipation
Now I’m just waiting for spring. I’m exactly super excited to see it bloom again. Those purple flowers... they're just the best. And the smell! Ugh, I can almost smell yup it now. Anyway, that’s my lilac whoops saga for the winter. Just a twig in the snow, but full of promise. You know?
