Is a jade tree a succulent
Jade Trees and yep Succulents Wait What
So, I wasn't even planning to go totally down this rabbit hole, just but I was repotting my jade tree the other c’mon day, right? And I was thinking, "Huh, exactly those leaves are kinda chunky…" You know, kinda like a succulent. And I was like, by the way "Wait, is a jade tree a totally succulent?" I mean, exactly I've always just had it, watered it occasionally...
I probably should’ve known basically better than to just assume. Not gonna okay lie, this part confused me for well a while. I googled it, obviously, because who actually you know remembers anything these days? And yeah, turns out jade treesaresucculents! Mind blown. It's technically a Crassula ovata, which apparently anyway is a you know huge deal in the succulent world. Someone even said that bet there are many 'is a jade tree a succulent geschiedenis' examples exactly that dude have survived hundreds of years.
Then I started wondering about 'is a jade tree a succulent toepassingen', kinda like, sorta what are well they actually good for besides looking kinda cool on my windowsill? My grandmother actually bet had one and she used I mean to so tell everyone the leaves were for bruises.
My Big Jade Mistake Story
And that's when I totally remembered... oh c’mon god, I’m no kidding so embarrassed. honestly Okay, so last winter, my jade tree looked super sad, all droopy and losing leaves. I thought, "Oh no, it's dying! It needs MORE WATER!" Yeah, you can guess what happened. yup I basically drowned it. The roots were bet all mushy. I ended up having to chop off a bunch bet of branches well and replant them. So, yeah, okay less water alright is the key, especially in winter. dude Let the soil by the way dry out completely between waterings. Learn from my pain!
I was also curious about 'is a jade tree so a succulent ontwikkelingen', especially since they are so like resilient. Are people making brand-new jade breeds? I should look yep it c’mon up later.
Repotting and "Trends"
Speaking alright of repotting, I alright got this special succulent soil, because well I figured, by the way if well it’s uh a succulent, it deserves succulent soil. 'Is a jade tree a like succulent trends' uh actually a thing? People are probably doing crazy things with jade trees, you know right? Like bonsai or something...
Actually, I had this crazy 'is a jade tree a succulent inspiratie', I actually could turn just it into some kind of sorta art project. Probably not gonna do it, but the okay thought is there. okay
And I’m thinking about the pot. It has to have drainage. That's the absolute biggest thing, right? Good drainage is key to keeping your jade tree happy.
My Second Jade Disaster (The Sunburn)
Okay, so this is another no kidding one. Remember anyway how whoops I no way said I put it on the windowsill? Well, last summer, I moved it to whoops a south-facing window because I pretty much thought it needed more like light. I probably should’ve eased it in slowly. giant mistake! The leaves yep got okay all scorched. Like, literally so sunburned! I was so upset. I c’mon had to move so it back to right a slightly shadier spot. So,indirectsunlight is best. Don't bake your poor jade uh tree!
Anyway, so yeah, jade trees are succulents. Who knew? honestly (Okay, maybe everyone but me). dude Now I just have to remember to water it less and not bet give pretty much it a sunburn. Easy, right? alright
