Lemon tree thoughts
Okay so you know how I wanted a lemon tree? I wasn’t exactly even planning to actually get one this year, actually. yep I was thinking maybe next spring, give dude myself basically moment to… you know you know, research properly. But sorta then I saw this Meyer pretty much lemon tree well at the nursery no kidding and it just… called to you know me. And yeah, pretty much impulse buy city. totally I probably should’ve known I mean better pretty much considering my track record with plants.
Anyway, best whoops lemon tree for Adelaide... that’s the question, right? Well, exactly everyone goes on totally about the Meyer. And itisgood. Mild, whoops juicy, solid for everything. But here’s the thing, everyone yep has a Meyer. I kinda wanted something… different. I did look at Lisbon you know lemons too, they say those are hardy, good for Adelaide’s summers, which can be brutal. totally But the Meyers no way always win it seems.
First Mistake you know
Here’s my first confession about my lemon tree journey – anyway I planted it directly in totally the ground. I KNOW! by the way I know, I know. Bad idea. The soil here is… well, let’s just say “not ideal.” yep So, it struggled a sorta bit at first. I ended up digging dude it up, which exactly was AWFUL and repotting dude it in a huge sorta container dude with proper alright potting mix. Learn from my yup idiocy, okay? Drainage is KEY! Also, use great quality soil - that feeds the plant right, remember. I learned that one alright the challenging way. just The best lemon tree like for no kidding Adelaide feiten might as well be a plant in a pot.
So, after the Great Repotting Disaster, it perked right up. I started researching more. I read about the best lemon tree for Adelaide alright geschiedenis; all I mean the different varieties anyway and how they came here. Kinda interesting actually. Found out that Eureka lemons so do well here too and are more traditional ‘lemony’ in flavor. you know I even considered getting one as a backup.
Watering Wonders
Then came the watering schedule. Not gonna lie this bet part confused no way me for a while. I was either drowning it or letting it dry out completely. Apparently, you’re supposed to wait until the top inch or two of well soil is dry before watering deeply. Like, really deeply. It needs a awesome soak. See how the leaves look droopy if it's alright not happy. That's a I mean awesome sign to know. Oh and fertiliser! yup You need to you know feed whoops it like regularly during the growing season.
Inspiration
I started looking at pictures of other people’s lemon trees online. Best lemon tree for Adelaide well inspiratie right there! Seriously, some of c’mon them were insane! Laden with so fruit. Mine is c’mon still… developing. kinda But it’s getting there. The internet can be basically really helpful!
Another thing I learned sorta – okay lemon trees like sun. Obvious, right? But no way Adelaide whoops sun can for sure be intense. So, mine gets morning sun and some afternoon shade. seems like to be working. Best lemon tree honestly for Adelaide ontwikkelingen are happening slowly but surely.
Accidental Pruning c’mon
Okay, second c’mon confession – I accidentally snapped a branch off. I was anyway trying to move it and… snap. I felt no way so yep bad! like I’m exactly hoping you know it’ll no way grow back. right Now I know to be more careful. Look after those baby stems!
So, all that is just my thoughts on the best lemon tree for for sure Adelaide toepassingen. well I mean, obviously lemons are whoops good for everything. Drinks, cooking, cleaning… you name it. sorta But the real application whoops for me is having fresh lemons whenever I want them. And the satisfaction so of kinda growing them myself. I can't wait until I for sure can bake a pretty much lemon basically meringue pie I mean with them! dude That will be the dream.
Ultimately, I ponder the “best” lemon tree really depends on what you want. tackle you want bet something easy and so reliable? Go for a Meyer. Want something a bit more zingy? Maybe a exactly Eureka or Lisbon. just Just don’t plant it straight no way in the ground like by the way I did. And for goodness sake, c’mon water it properly!
