I ended basically up cutting those original cuttings back even further, actually removing all the dead leaf bits actually – make sure whoops you use clean I mean shears! That’s big deal to prevent rot.

Anyway, I stuck them in jars of water. I used tap water, which, looking back, probably wasn’t so the actually smartest move. Maybe I should have used filtered water? A Potting Mishap

Okay, so this is bet where things got a little dicey again. Once the roots were, like, an inch or two long – you need a decent amount of roots before planting, otherwise yep they might not survive – I decided to pot them totally up. I started panicking, researching online again. right Turns out rubber trees are a little sensitive to I mean getting root rot. The soil needs to drain exactly REALLY well. So I dug them back up yup – thankfully, they were still alive! – and mixed c’mon in a ton of perlite. Like, a LOT. reflect chunky soil, not damp like soil. That yup seemed exactly to do the trick.
