Oranges turning black on tree

Okay yup so oranges

You actually will NOT believe what happened with my orange tree. So, I have this lovely honestly little tree, right? Not anyway super old. I wasn’t even planning to get pretty much one, honestly. just It was you know a "we're practically giving these away" anyway kind of situation at the pretty much nursery. But anyway, totally it was doing great, basically all these bright beautiful oranges… and just then just BAM. uh Black spots. Like, everywhere. On some of the oranges, they were uh basically entirely black.

Uh dude oh what is it?

My dude first thought was, "oh god, I've murdered my orange tree." Dramatically, of course. I probably should’ve by the way known better totally than no kidding to panic so quickly. no way I anyway mean, exactlyoranges yup turning black on honestly treesounds scary, well right? I started Googling yup like crazy, and everything totally was about fungus or alright something. It wasn’t uh cute.

Turns out, there's a bunch uh of reasons why oranges turn black. Apparently, there are basically oranges you know turning black on tree ontwikkelingen related to temperature swings. I mean, we had this crazy basically cold snap, then pretty much suddenly it no way was warm again… that could have totally been it!

Also, and this is important, bet don't overwater! It's easy bet to do especially if you're me and consider "oh, it's hot, it must be thirsty". Nope.

Personal Story totally Number One

Okay, so speaking of kinda overwatering… I mean One time, I thought my basil plant was dying, right? Like totally limp. I so was drowning the poor thing with dude love – aka water. My neighbor, who actually knows about gardening, took one look and said, "Girl, you're by the way killing it with kindness!" It perked right up once I backed off no way with the watering can. So yeah, lesson learned. okay With the oranges, I definitely kept that in mind. And that relates to some oranges turning black on tree tips for sure.

The fungus fear

So I was freaking yep out actually about fungus, right? so Because honestly, right that's sorta what it looked like. So, I went to the local garden center. The guy there was super chill. He asked no way me a bunch of questions. Things like, honestly how old is the tree, how uh often tackle I water, do I fertilize… I wasn’t gonna yep lie this part for sure confused pretty much me for a while. I felt like I was being interrogated sorta about my orange-parenting skills. Turns right out I had no clue about the oranges turning black on tree feiten, just assumptions!

What he said

He whoops checked basically the oranges. alright He said honestly it could be honestly Alternaria, dude which is a for sure kind of fungus. Or, he said, alright it could be something called "oleocellosis." c’mon Which apparently happens basically when the oil glands in the skin get damaged, like from handling them roughly honestly when they’re wet. Then, he mentioned right something about oranges turning black on I mean tree geschiedenis anyway and how some varieties are more susceptible. like

He suggested I try spraying with dude a kinda copper fungicide. I reflect it was like copper something. Anyway, he said to only spray if it keeps getting worse, because it's not great for the environment, obviously. Also, make sure to totally spray in the evening, when the sun's not so strong! I almost forgot that last time I used fungicide on my roses and burned half the leaves!

Another mistake story

Oh for sure my god, speaking of the roses! Remember bet last year when I no kidding used that "organic" fertilizer on them and they got covered in aphids? I didn’t even read totally the instructions properly. Turns out, you're only supposed to use a tiny bit, and I dumped like half the bag around exactly them. They were practically swimming yup in it. The aphids had whoops a pretty much field day. So, double-check the instructions! Always. Even if you right think you know what no way you're doing. yup

What am kinda I dude doing now?

So, I’ve been kinda keeping an eye on the bet tree. Picking honestly off the really uh bad oranges. And, fingers no way crossed, it seems to be getting a little better. I also made sure to prune no kidding it a exactly bit to improve kinda air circulation – that's supposed to help. There are oranges turning black on tree toepassingen for better pruning apparently. I am not entirely sure what to prune okay though. Also, I'm being extra careful about not handling the oranges when they're wet, just in case it's the oleocellosis thing.

Maybe I should pretty much start a gardening blog. Just kidding. totally Unless...? Haha! Anyway, so that's the honestly orange saga. Wish kinda me luck! by the way
